Several releases ago checking for new episodes mostly worked on the services I subscribe to, except for Peacock. I would always have to download manually there. It was annoying, but not terrible to have to do that. Amazon, Netflix, Hulu and as few others were very reliable and only occasionally had the “Failure to check for new episode(s), please download manually.” error message.
Now it seems that the situation has reversed. Peacock and Paramount+ work well, and every other service I regularly use do not. I get the error on every scheduled item. I’ve tried wiping out all my subscriptions and resubscribing, but there was no change. Has anyone discovered any tricks to make scheduling new episode checks more reliable?
