Plex download missing first 9 seconds of audio

I tried Plex for the first time yesterday and got the popup saying there was a recent issue that DVDFab was working on that prevented it from analyzing the selected show. Tried it again today and it successfully analyzed the show Crazy Like a Fox (1984), a show that was never released on DVD. I downloaded 2 episodes as MP4 files. The audio stream in each file is about 9 seconds shorter than the video stream. When I play it, the audio leads the video by about 9 seconds. The subtitle stream is present and appears to be correctly synchronized with the video stream. I’m running StreamFab version 6.2.6.7 on Windows. I went to the plex.tv web site and played the episodes there. When I do so, the audio is correctly synchronized with the video.

I can confirm this.
Using MKV made no difference vs you were using MP4.
Also, as you say, it does occasionally come up saying there is an issue with the PLEX downloader.

OK, I tried another show, Dawson’s Creek, and that also has the same issue.
And l also checked both justwatch.com, reelgood.com and yes only Plex has Crazy Like a Fox.
Tried a movie and that was fine. So it’s trouble with shows.

Stan001 Next time, to help others find this, label your posts with the provider, for this, it would be StreamFab > Plex
I couldn’t figure out how to do that. I haven’t used the forum much since the new layout. I clicked on categories, and of the 7 listed under StreamFab, “Feedback & Support” seemed most appropriate. After some more fiddling with the forum, I see that the subcategories such as “Plex” can be accessed through the second dropdown list. I’ll try that next time.

It appears to be almost exactly 9 seconds of audio that’s missing. I remuxed the MP4 files, adding a 9 second delay to the audio track:

ffmpeg -i aaa.mp4 -itsoffset 9.0 -i aaa.mp4 -c copy -map 0:v -map 1:a -map 0:s bbb.mp4

The result is an MP4 with the audio in sync, at least as best as I can judge watching the lips of the actors. Of course, the first 9 seconds are silent.

I always use mkv (ffmpeg).
Others are free to try mkvtoolnix.
The shows are not right when downloaded.
Audio is off, short beginning of show missing.

Ok, I get it now why it’s happening.
I think they feel that users should just select Streamfab. Then when you post (or Ask a Question) you get selections.
Unfortunately, we have no input on changing things.
I once had hopes, but not sure what the issue is.
They had once said there was someone working in the background trying to change/fix things, as far as this community/forum setup, I don’t know if that is happening or when.
