Ok, I thought I would post what I found. It’s not a lot, as it’s hard to find video sites that the extension works with.
The extension DID work on Dailymotion, but no longer does. Since the coapp uses yt-dlp, the latest version of yt-dlp, I believe, fixes this, but I have not tried it. and the coapp would then have to be updated.
The extension does NOT work on https://fawesome.tv/, yet other video downloader extensions will work.
history.com does NOT work, yet other video downloader extensions will work.
YT will work with the EDGE version of the SF extension; Google Chrome blocks extensions that download from YouTube, so that’s not expected to work on Chrome.
pbs.org worked, in limited tests.
No to tbs & tnt related sites. Yet other video downloader extensions will work.
cbs.com NO.
abc.com yes, in limited tests.
nbc.com, NO.
nosey.com, NO, Yet other video downloader extensions will work.
I keep trying to think of other sites with non-DRM videos; I guess I just don’t realize I don’t visit many.
I did think then about pOrn sites, and like SF, or what some know as pOrnfab, yes, the extension works on several pOrn sites.
If I had to guess, I would say the extension may do Facebook videos, Twitch videos, and similar sites like those where videos are posted.
I guess I couldn’t care less about other peoples Facebook videos; I don’t care about Twitch. or other sites simular.
I guess also I was hoping to see others who may visit more video sites to say what works and/or what doesn’t.
I guess also I again have to bring up the price. SF wants $60 for lifetime; yet one extension only wants $20 to $30 for lifetime, the other extension has no price. and both did more sites.
Another thing: I know we had members before ask what websites the developer of this extension says the extension works on.
This would then open more doors on what sites to try.
