BD50 demanded when cloning BD25

Hi team and community,

on cloning “The Fine Young Cannibals - The Raw and the Cooked”-SDE-BR

, DVDFab recognizes the source as being a BD25. Once it has read the BR, I put a BD25 for writing in my BR-writer but it complains that a double layer BR-disc is required.
Sounds like a bug to me. Any idea how to fix it or get around it?
When I put in a BD50 it is burned successfully.

alexander What size did you set for a BD25 disc? Please go to Common Settings > Drives > Blu-ray Write section to check and confirm it.

Please also share the dvdfab13.log file and screenshots related to the case for analysis. Thank you.

Sorry for the late reply but the issues is still occurring.

Addition, looking at the temp-file whis is created when cloning the BD, it’s size is 44 GB although DVDFab recognizes it as a BD25:

Is there maybe a workaround until it is fixed, apart from using 50 GB discs?

You can choose another Copy mode if you want to compress it to BD25.

That would mean it really is a BD50 disc and has to compressed to BD25. I thought, as it is a pure Audio Dolby Atmos disc it would be a BD25 and no compressing is needed?

The default writable size for BD25 is 23000MB. If your source Blu-ray disc has a large capacity, but you set the output to BD25, it cannot be copied without compression.
