I’m not sure if this issue has been discussed here before, but since it happened to me again today, I wanted to mention it briefly. The problem occurs both in version 7.0.0.7 as well as in earlier versions. When downloading series from the Paramount+ catalogue, I’ve noticed that the downloaded video files have the expected file size, matching other episodes in the series, and the duration shown in the file properties is also correct, around 40–50 minutes. I copy these files to my NAS and manage them there with my Plex media server. However, when I play an episode, it displays a running time that is twice as long, about 90–110 minutes, and the progress bar only reaches around 50% at the end of the episode. The same thing happens in PowerDVD 24, which even directly reports a runtime of roughly 90 minutes.
Has anyone else noticed this? Is there already a solution for it? Downloading the episodes again hasn’t solved the problem. All other series episodes not downloaded from Paramount+ do not have this issue.
