Reduced resolution for all episodes after first one / download whole season

Hi,
I tried HBO Max Germany with version 7.0.0.7 and the first movie went fine in 4k.
I then tried to download season 1 of The Bing Bang Theory…
…max Quality (1080p)

First episode worked fine but all other episodes where downloaded in 720p.

I then tried season 12 with the same result.
First episode obeys the settings like 1080p - all other episodes in dramatically reduced bitrate.
(even that I selected the whole season)

Any thoughts?

s01e01 max offer for H265 is 1600×900 @ 9881kbps

Play follow epis with disabled auto-analysis and click the orange button
so you get “Movie Mode” with individual analysis and you can see for H265:

s01e02 1600×900 681 + 1920×1080 3490
s01e03 1600×900 639 + 1920×1080 3076
s01e04 no 1600×900 + 1920×1080 3898
s01e05 no 1600×900 + 1920×1080 3523

By default always s01e01 is analyzed and you can’t select 1920×1080 for all
because it’s not offered for s01e01 - so you selected 1600×900
and get no better resolution with bitrates < 700kbps for following epis

Of course SF can’t change the offer by HBO - so the problem is the missing
“Best Quality” which for example Sebastian001 has been requesting for months

Did you try downloading just the ep 2 by itself, not as group?

No, I tried always the whole season.
will try single episode this evening but that would be a huge effort for 12 seasons and 15-20 episodes per season.

Still not working properly with new 7.0.0.8 version.

Single downloads of episodes will work in their max resolution which is not feasible for that many seasons and episodes.
Download of a whole season will always download only in 720p max.
Using H265 even with an average bitrate which is below 1000kBit/s.

Please fix that as this problem never happen with all the other VIP services.

Yes - it seems that the “Best Quality” Button should be available for all modules/services.
Shouldn’t be that complex to download always “max Quality”.

Otherwise Season download is a nightmare… :-)

I’ve noticed the same issue. Seems fine doing them one at a time, but quite annoying having to do so, especially with shows containing hundreds of episodes.

4K show would start at like 6GB, but only 900MB by the time the last episode is downloaded.
