SF 7.0.0.8 Prime errors with "Incompatible Browser" message

I saw 7.0.0.8 was put out to fix an issue with Apple TV, but it breaks Prime. I haven’t tried any other service yet. I reverted to 7.0.0.7 and Prime is working as expected, so there’s an issue with the 7008 browser and Prime, at a minimum.

Edited to add: I’m using Amazon Prime/US (no VPN)

I can’t confirm this ..

.. as I wrote here

There have been isolated cases of users receiving this error message with Prime ..
.. and as far as I know, these disappeared everywhere on their own.

This might be related to the Widevine CDM revocation on 1/20. I had this error consistently until I grabbed an updated CDM (4.10.2934.0) from a local Brave install and copied it to the StreamFab install. This can also be found in Chrome or Firefox. Check that your browser is updated first to make sure the latest CDM is installed.

zirujauak Thanks, checked Chrome and I’m on the latest. I’m going to try a redownload 7008 from Wilson’s standalone post (versus the 7008 exe listed in the Apple thread) and see if that makes a difference.

Update: I downloaded and installed from the standalone 7008 thread and Prime is now working fine.

There are file size differences from the “Apple official” versus “regular” version , with size shrinking. Lesson learned: wait for standalone unless I’m trying to confirm a fix for the specific service that a pre-release EXE is targeting (in this case Apple.)
