Has Anyone been able to download video in 4K

Hello All - I am wondering if anyone has been able to download video in 4K from HBO, Fandango or Disney? I have found many videos that are designated as being in 4k on each of these sites but when I try to download them I am not presented with the option to do so in 4K. If you have been successful please let me know which movie and which site, maybe I have just not found the right movie yet. When I ask the support team for assistance they just tell me to wait for the next revision of SF. I am using 7.0.0.8, but still no luck. Thank you all.

You might want to include what region you are in, are you using a VPN, etc. And upload your StreamFab logs.

Thank you for the reply. I provided my region (US), no VPN, and I provided my logs. but the reply from support was always to wait for the next revision, or to just cancel the ticket. Thank you for taking the time to reply, I do appreciate your response.

download video in 4K from HBO, Fandango or Disney?

Many members get 4k on all 3 services.

I only have Disney+, but Ant-Man and Free Guy downloaded in 4k.
Home Alone and Home Alone 2 as well.

So like KidJoe says, name a title on Disney+, delete streamfab.log, download a 4k movie, include the log, and go from there.

Others will have to tell you about Fandango or HBO.

This is just Elio (Disney+), and what can be shown as far as resolutions.
ONE LAST THING, MAKE SURE YOU USE H265.

I believe Fandango 4k is only available to rent/buy - so personally untested ..
.. but just like AppleTV, HBO Max works for me too - my last two downloads:

Well that was simple. Selecting the H256 is the answer. I must have missed those instructions. (at least it works for HBO, and Disney +)

Have downloaded bunch of things in 4K from HBO including the second and third LOTR extended edition movies yesterday. Oddly, the first one (Fellowship), refuses to play or analyze with a DRM error.

Just switched from Amazon>HBO to the D+HULU+HBO no ads bundle.
US/NOVPN/NOADSacct.

FYI - I confirmed selecting H265 and HDR works for Fandango as well, but as was previously mentioned, it only works for purchased content. The free 4K movies do not have the 4K download option, even if they are listed as streaming in 4K.

SF never added the free to watch in 4K.
Don’t know if it’s possible or not. They just move on to next provider they want in 4k.

Stan001 The free to watch doesn’t serve 4K, only 1080p. Someone feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but I’ve never been able to get 4K even on my normal TV unless I own the license for it.

Then why does fandango list the free to watch in 4K UHD?
I just figure SF don’t care as long as they got most pay videos downloading in 4K.
I just assumed then the free to watch are in 4K.

Or looking more now the movies say free to watch, but then offers a rent/buy option(s) so maybe then if you rent/buy it will be in 4k.

I am speculating here, but I believe that the video is available in 4K if you rent or buy the movie. They are free at the lower resolution. I don’t think this is an issue with SF. This is a function of the way Fandango streams the movies. (you need to pay to play, so to speak)

MFDF This is the correct answer. No one gives 4K for free. It’s advertised because it’s available in 4K if you rent or buy the ad-free version.
