UHD DRIVE TOOL Drive List?

I need to replace my old LG BE14NU40 to a 4K UHD drive. I specifically want an External non-slim device. I reviewed the list of tested drives provided on the DVDFAB UHD Drive Tool site, HOWEVER, most are no longer available from the manufacturers in the US, only 1 of the LG drives - WH14NS40 is still available.
Can this list be updated?
For example:
Buffalo BU40N - not know on the vendor site, but they do have a newer BRXL-16U3
ASUS BW-16D1H-U - no longer on vendor site, but now have BW-16D1X-U

Are either of these valid/tested replacements?

BRXL-16U3 and BW-16D1X-U are not currently tested. Our development team is working on other UHD drives.

Mona, based on the UHD Drive Tool list of supported drives (https://www.dvdfab.cn/uhd-drive-tool.htm) I ordered the Archgon MD-8107S-U3-UHD BU40N which says firmware 1.00 is tested. My drive just came installed with firmware 1.02

I just tried the Drive Tool (from my DVDFAB 13 all-in-one Utilities menu) but the software says this drive is “Official Unsupported” with no firmware for downgrading.

Can you help me to understand if the Drive Tool needs updating to list the 1.00 firmware, or if the official documentation is incorrect or if there is a different issue. The label on the back of my drive states:
ARCHGON
Ultra Slim Optical Drive
Model: MD-8107-U3
and Drive Tool confirms it is BU40N.

There are some LG drives with HL-DT-ST identification that handle 4k/uhd discs ok with 1.02 firmwares (I actually have a LG internal drive that works fine with its 1.02 firmware). The key is usually the svc code for the drive (needs to be NS50). Have you tried accessing/ripping a 4k/uhd with your drive with the 1.02 firmware?

Can I get an update if someone is working on adding Archgon MD-8107S-U3-UHD BU40N External firmware to downgrade from 1.02 to 1.00? The uhd-drive-tool table says it was tested but as you can see on my earlier post the tool does not recognize my drive.
