Issue with shrinking BD and removing audio stream

I’m trying to reduce the size of a BD of a Hong Kong movie, which is about 1GB too big for a standard 50GB disc. It has three audio streams: the original Chinese (Cantonese?) audio, an English dub and an English-language commentary.

I have tried six different methods: remove the first audio stream, remove the second, remove the third, remove HD Audio in Advanced Settings, remove nothing and shrink the whole disc as a folder, and remove nothing and convert to an ISO.

On all six occasions, no matter what settings I chose, DVDFab did exactly the same thing every time: remove the Chinese audio. Which is the one thing I definitely want to keep!

Can anyone think of an alternative option that I haven’t tried? I would like to keep the full menu and BD structure, if at all possible.

When you preview the original Chinese (Cantonese?) audio track in DVDFab, can you get any sound?
Please specify the movie title, provide the dvdfab13.log file, and post the BDinfo for the movie. Thank you.

You can export the BDinfo in DVDFab. Please refer to the image attached.

I can get the Chinese audio in preview. Although it defaults to the English audio - don’t know if that’s important.

The “Chinese audio” track you want to keep may actually be an empty placeholder track without real audio data. This would cause DVDFab to remove it by default during compression.

To verify, try these steps:
Use a tool like MediaInfo to check the detailed info of all audio tracks and confirm if the Chinese audio track contains valid sound.
Play the Blu-ray using VLC or PlayerFab, manually switch, and confirm if the Chinese audio is audible.
If the track is empty or just a placeholder, its removal by DVDFab is expected.

MediaInfo confirms the Chinese audio, and I can hear it clearly in VLC.

To be honest, I think I’ll write it off as a one-off - partly because I’ve ran the video so many times that I now know how the film ends lol

What is the format of the Chinese audio track? DTS?

All three audios are DTS XLL
