Defiance (sci-fi TV series) - Page Not Found

While the first two season are available with Prime and play correctly on a TV, trying to access them after clicking their link in StreamFab or a PC browser leads to a Page Not Found Error. Anyone have a suggestion for reaching their correct series page?

i get the same page not found error if i click the prime video box on imdb - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2189221/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_3_tt_8_nm_0_in_0_q_Defiance the show should be available if you wish to buy the series.

october262 It says it’s included with the Prime membership, but then also says it’s for sale. Obviously, I’d prefer not to pay for it when it streams for free through Prime on my TV.

I doubt this helps, but after watching the first episode on my TV, StreamFab will let me watch additional episodes within its browser. No way to download them, though, as far as I can tell.

Not really a streamfab issue.
It seems more an Amazon issue.

Not much anyone other the Amazon can address.
As it comes up not found for me and others using a browser.

As Stan001 suggested, I’m pretty sure this an Amazon issue. In particular, the series image just has the wrong link. This series has some other complications: (1) it’s also available to buy from Amazon (as Germania mentioned), and (2) it’s also available for download by Peacock add-on subscribers. Not surprising that this got confused by them.
I gave Amazon Support a call tonight. Initially, they said that it shouldn’t be listed as a Prime option at all because the rights to it had reverted. I told them that because I can freely view it on my TV (Seasons 1 and 2) that this was obviously incorrect. Then they suggested I try it with other browsers. I did with the same Page Not Found result. Finally, I suggested strongly that they check the browser link for the series and correct it. (Given that I can view it on TV proves that the content is available. And given that I can view individual episodes within any browser – including StreamFab – by clicking the Watch Next Episode link that appears after successfully watching any one episode on my TV should demonstrate that all they likely need to fix is the series link.)
They said they’d escalate this. If it gets fixed, I’ll post here. Thanks to everyone who checked this out!

Totally Amazon issue as simply going to the site in normal web browser, then going to the defiance link in prime video gives amazon 404 error.

Yep will leave open to see if Amazon fixes, and then someone can reply here it’s fixed,
We don’t have a, not a streamfab issue, label.
I do think this is important if others run into this issue, they know.
For me Amazon has been a bit more screwy, they need to address a few issues with their site,

ANECDOTAL UPDATE
Just for laughs, I thought I’d try some common workarounds, like hovering on the DEFIANCE/PRIME thumbnail and adding to playlist. Then going to playlist, I get the season one page, with ep 1/pilot “unlocked” (I own this); but all other items locked.

Season 2 and 3 menus are locked.
So, there are [2] distinct versions of DEFIANCE showing in PRIME; the “free with Prime” with Prime logo, and the lock icon buy version.

Looks like what is happening is the free to watch with Prime version totally gone, broken, retired Feb 1. and using the add to playlist, redirects to the buy/owned version, via the URL above.

I am guessing either the rights expired (it’s still on Peacock), or Amazon has the two iterations cross linked somehow. I sent a feedback note via the buy/season 1 version page; but that is a deep maybe on anybody doing anything. I don’t have free brain cell to go through the customer service route, but that might be option for anybody wanting to capture/download from legal account. I already own all season on both disc and digital, so not going to be me.

All things being equal, if I had to guess; I think it likely the rights expired Feb 1. However, that would have been a very short run since the only added that back not long ago.

UPDATE: My call had an impact. There’s a new series link to the show that now works, It’s weirdly incomplete (all of Season 2 and most of Season 3), but it works. The new series icon has a dark red background. I may try to download the missing episodes via the Copy link tool. (Note: That didn’t work – at all.)
Surprisingly, all of Seasons 1 and 2 are still accessible via a TV–just not a browser or StreamFab. As you can see, there are major differences between what’s available via TV vs. browser. Ah well. Maybe the rest of the series will show up on some other service one of these days.
