I sometimes get a bit crabby. We have had an increase in New Forum members. Many report nonexistent issues and make one or maybe 2 posts and then don’t return. So I apologize for taking it out on you.
As stated, a screenshot speaks a thousand words. For this a log would not help, but many don’t realize how it can help in many situations.
So after checking a number of shows on Netflix, I will give my results:
Rizzoli & Isles
Wednesday
Have both the High and the Main profiles and changing back and forth work. I see 2 different offerings in size and kbps.
Heartland
Gilmore Girls
Changing from High to Main and back, I get the same file size and kbps.
This was done from the USA, and results and programs will vary in different countries, as I also don’t have access to the show you’re trying, 2 Broke Girls.
So unfortunately then it only leads to something changing in SF or Netflix or maybe both, and some shows may either not have both High and Main, and Netflix may have changed or removed either High or Main from some shows.
Or they changed how to get the info, and SF now can only get the one, either the Main or the High, from certain shows.
Or as none of us try or download all shows, it may have always been like that for certain shows.
I am not up to checking more shows. All you can do is whatever selections you get is use as is.
On a side note, I always use AV1, so I never see a High or Main setting. I can’t recall the last time I used H264, as I used H265 and yes, had issues, but used it, and once AV1 was available, I use that and never looked back.
If you have spare time, you can report it to SF, but since there is no way to know if it is SF or Netflix, I suspect Netflix; SF may just close the ticket.
