I recently changed my PC to upgrade to Windows 11. I installed an ASUS BW-16D1HT optical drive to continue using DVDfab. The drive has been working flawlessly with CD’s. I have been having an issue with DVD’s, however, where Windows doesn’t seem to recognize the disc after it is inserted. DVDfab will be starting to read the disc and then the drive will open with an insert disc error popup “Please insert a disc into drive F:.” and a link “Help me choose a disc”. Up until now, if I close the drawer again, the error seemed to go away and DVDfab would work for this and subsequent disc’s without problem. Now, however, it’s having more trouble getting through the disc.
At first I thought the problem was the drive, but I had the same problem with an external optical drive working through a USB cable.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
