Need help fixing balance inquiry tutorial video showing FAB Ratibi card steps

Hi everyone,

I run a small YouTube channel where I create simple tutorial videos for overseas workers in the UAE. Recently I recorded a step by step guide explaining how to check the balance on a FAB Ratibi salary card using an ATM and SMS method. I used DVDFab to convert and compress the final video before uploading, but I am facing an issue after processing.

In the original recording, the phone screen is very clear and the text showing the balance inquiry steps is readable. After converting the file in DVDFab, the numbers and small text on the screen become slightly blurry, especially when viewers watch in 720p. Since this is a banking related guide, clarity is very important and I do not want people to misunderstand any step.

I tried changing the output profile and lowering compression, but the file size becomes too large for my upload limits. I am not sure which settings inside DVDFab would keep the screen text sharp while still reducing the file size to something reasonable.

Has anyone here optimized screen recorded tutorial videos with small text using DVDFab? I would really appreciate advice on the best format or settings to maintain clarity for this type of content.

This is mostly caused by DVDFab compressing screen text too aggressively. If your original recording is 1080p, export it at 1080p and let YouTube handle the 720p version, since DVDFab’s own downscaling often blurs small numbers. H.264 usually keeps UI text sharper than H.265 at lower file sizes, especially for screen recordings. Also avoid any noise reduction or smoothing options, as they soften clean text.

Since it’s a banking guide, adding a clear written reference in the description can help viewers confirm the steps if the video looks unclear on some devices. A simple fab balance enquiry guide
works well as a backup reference alongside the video.

Thanks, this helped a lot. Exporting at 1080p with H.264 and leaving the downscaling to YouTube fixed the blurry text, and disabling smoothing definitely improved clarity.
