This issue only appears to happen when downloading video with more than one audio track. I discovered this issue when attempting to download a series with both an English dub and the original Japanese audio in the same file. The audio appears to only synch properly with the first track. For my example, the Japanese audio was out of synch with the video by a few seconds, but the video matched with the English audio.
This is most likely due to different timings with the video for lip synching. Other streaming services avoid this issue by completely separating the English dubbed and original Japanese audio editions into two completely separate links and videos on the streaming platform (I’ve seen this on HBO Max, Hulu, and Disney+).
I tested this with different series and was able to replicate the issue. When you download only one audio track (just the Japanese audio or just the English audio) it will properly synch no matter which one you choose. Also when watching directly through the website it synchs properly. The issue only seems to arise when trying to grab multiple audio tracks in one file. I’m not sure what the exact solution would be here.
