Is there any way for SF to download high-bitrate versions?

Is there any way to get SF to detect high-bitrate versions of non-original content? Taking the sports program ‘Six Kings Slam’ as an example: I’ve tried various regions, but SF consistently only finds the 1080p x264 High L4 version at 2000kbps. To my knowledge, a 9000kbps High Profile version exists. Is there a workaround for SF to analyze and pick this up? Could this be limited by the L3 DRM security level? Honestly, the current bitrate looks quite poor, especially on a 4K screen.

Nope, with L3 you can’t get 1080p ..
.. NF is limited in SF to offers in Chrome, because it’s used.
That’s why SF never got > 1080p from NF

I get this offers without Premium:

1080p >2150 kbps with H264 High
1080p >4900 kbps with H264 Main
1080p >3200 kbps with AV1 SDR

You can’t get > 1080p in browser, so why should the Extension find better ~~resolution~~ bitrate?

I get 2153 kbps no matter what I choose.
No change between High and Main profile, and even weirder, it shows the same file size of 3.70 GB for choosing any of these:
VP9, AV1, and H264
I still say Netflix issue, but maybe SF needs to look at why it’s still not changing between High and Main profiles.
And they may want to remove the H265 option soon?
OR did Netflix remove one of the two profiles?

So something is NOT right

You can see the 2153 kbps and 3.70 GB sizes are the same for both AV1 and H264.
and NO change for H264 using High or Main profiles.

This is a Netflix standard with ads plan, whether that makes a difference or not.
Clearing temp folder did nothing.

Stan001 means no AV1 exists, the interface just doesn’t disable the bitrate dropbox (like it does with D+) when the codec is not available… it’s a very old “feature”

I tested also with same plan (in Germany) ..
.. therefore, I knew in advance that my AV1 offer was SDR.
That’s also the reason why I didn’t mention H265.

I’ve now tested with a second account (Standard without Ads)
in the US and I’m also not being offered Main + AV1.
=> So the location is relevant

btw: Other than H265 VP9 show me not, that’s not available
(show H264 bitrate) - that should be easy to fix ..

I guess I still want to know why someone can get 4989 kbps and others don’t, as well as why changing from a High to Main profile does nothing.

And the high, main profile issue was reported before, and there was no definitive answer.

Did Netflix eliminate in some way the High and Main profiles, like they did H.265?

And if it’s true that there’s no AV1, then, as said, SF should say that. I may see what happens when downloading.
ADDED: Yes, when downloading it, it confirmed no AV1; it downloads as H264.
