youtube endless analyzing even with 7.0.1.4

When I try to download a video or the audio for a video (as an mp3) from youtube, it endlessly analyzes. I saw a recent post that said wait for 7.0.1.4, but that is the version I am using (Windows 10). Log attached. I downloaded and reinstalled the version, rebooted my PC but still the same problem. This problem just started in the last day or two.

I have several of your apps installed on my PC. This evening Two of your Apps requested that I update my StreamFab to Version 7.0.1.4 even though I was current. After updating, I no longer have the ability to download from YouTube. Nor can I send an error message through StreamFab.

Looks like SF 7015 need an update to yt-dlp 2026.03.03 ..
.. there are several problems known with previous 2026.02.21 (used in SF 7014)

I don’t know for certain, but I think I just updated YoutubeToMP3Process.exe to the equivalent to yt-dlp 2026.03.03.
I was looking at yt-dlp’s Issues and they tell to add a report that uses the -vU command. I tried it and it seems that it lists all the dependencies as well as updates YoutubeToMP3Process.exe and creates a YoutubeToMP3Process.old from SF’s 2026.02.21 version. I had no idea that you could update YouTubeToMP3Process without the source code (or so it appears).

I haven’t tried any downloads yet but if it does what it appears to do, we don’t have to worry about being behind with yt-dlp/YoutubeToMP3Process code anymore. Fingers crossed.

You’re going to have to wait for another update to SF. You Tube was fine a couple of days ago on Version 7.0.1.4

.. but the modified (custom) info from YoutubeToMP3Process is missing

execute YoutubeToMP3Process_old.exe and you get:

Yep, never mind. I got fooled. All it does is copy the yt-dlp program over and name it YoutubeToMP3Process.exe. The two StreamFab specific commands in YoutubeToMP3Process.exe is missing in the 2026.03.03 version. Damned!! I thought I had stumbled on to something.

Why aren’t we given an option to force YT links to download via the DMR downloader? There are all kinds of password-less sites that error out on the YT downloader but work like a charm on the DMR downloader. But of course, YT is the only site that doesn’t present this option.

Or, I don’t know, maybe just hire somebody who actually knows how to make this goddamned piece of trash software do its job? Every updated version of SF for MONTHS has promised “improvements to YouTube Downloader”, only to endlessly analyze/generate generic “Failed” errors. It’s a never-ending comedy.
