Netflix 4K ???

This question has probably been asked before, but I cannot find it. So here it is.

Is Netflix 4K download supported? I can only get 1080p files.
If it’s not supported, why not? When can we expect it?

NF is limited in SF to offers in Chrome, because it’s used.
That’s why SF never got > 1080p from NF

The header (browser), cookie and profile must match ..

.. otherwise, the manifest (for dl url) & license request (for the key) will be rejected.

That’ why you can’t get >1080p using windows browser.
For the same reason, you cannot choose whether you get AV1 HDR or AV1 SDR.

NO SF can NOT download 4K from Netflix at this time.
Users also will need the top, most expensive plan to get 4K from Netflix, if SF ever can or does decide to support Netflix in 4K.
Asked: Why not? Answer: Only the SF development team knows why not.
Asked: When? Answer: Again, only the SF development team knows if or when.

The overall goal now, even right before V7, but now through all updates in V7 of SF, is to get as much as POSSIBLE available in 4K.
For some providers, it may not be possible; for other providers, it could get users an instant ban of their provider account.
EXAMPLE: Ban happy Amazon.

I still think this quoted below may be a factor and maybe SF needs to get a different manifest if it currently don’t show 4k.

I have no plans on upgrading Netflix to the 4k plan, so don’t know.
I was going to hook my pc output into my 4k tv, but still pointless as I don’t have the 4k plan.

Well, I think that about tells OP everything about 4k with Netflix.

Maybe look for 4k from other places?

Whatever clever exploit they are using for other providers, you can bet they will eventually do it for NF.
