Criterion DRM MPD doesn't work

When trying to grab from criterion DRM MPD download button does not generate with any title but still works with other DRM MPD sites like kanopy for example. When trying to download earlier output file was not the correct length and a grey screen and ever since then it hasnt been able to grab files from criterionchannel anymore.

I was able to download no problem from criterionchannel until yesterday.

Have tried resetting cache and browsing history with no luck, as well as signing out then back in to both crriterion channel and streamfab. I also uninstalled and re-installed the StreamFab app, with no luck again.

Anyone having any idea why DRM MPD would bork suddenly after it used to work so well on criterion?

It would help if you provided title, logs, region, VPN use, etc. Otherwise we don’t have anything to go off of.

Title wise nothing off criterion grabs for me right now for some reason. Again, it used to work just fine, now it doesn’t. Region is US, no VPN usage. Here is the log attached.

EDIT: Wanna add that right now it works for some reason. It is a peculiar situation. Some times grabbing Criterion films with MPD works smoothly, but other times it doesn’t want to so I just wait and give it a go a few hours later or the next day. Odd.

kyanonuz Next time you will want to delete your email address from the log file before sending it.

I’m not an expert at the log files, but I do see that it repeatedly tries to find a .mpd file but seems unsuccessful. Since you have cleared your cache, the common answer is to completely uninstall SF (including the folders where it stores data) and reinstall it.
Since the error occurs randomly, though, perhaps if you use your default DNS provider you might get better results switching to Google’s or Cloudflare’s DNS. I did that recently and my DL speeds increased by a lot with no side effects that I noticed.

Just search for “configure cloudflare dns windows” - or google dns - in your search engine of choice.
