Yeah it unfortunately can be upsetting,
Being on a fixed income , aka, social security, every time something goes up or ads more fees it just gets me down.
I am not forced to pay so no 4K and stuck with ads.
But same with Peacock and Disney/Hulu stuck with ads, but thanks to programs like streamfab we don’t then have ads.
My still only ad-free provider is Netflix but not the highest tier for 4K streaming.
I look at Paramount+; nice content, but need the highest tier for 4K.
MGM+ is still not even supported by StreamFab, yet HBO/Max, Paramount+/Showtime, and Starz all are supported.
It did seem Xfinity Stream was somewhat supported but not in 1080p. I never cared to look; it might again be a browser or Widevine issue.
It seems some providers need L1, and it was asked about a provider, and it was said no because of L1. So pretty much seems to go along with the providers that are supported in 4k, maybe via playready or maybe some other means.
It’s well known there is much Netflix 4K, through torrent or other means, in 4K, but that too could be via L1.
But if others can do it, then you wonder what stops StreamFab, unless they are concerned about the L1 being blocked or revoked or some other issue(s).
