I am not sure that OP is talking about the extension. I would be super surprised if that supported 4K.
And each extension takes browser memory, slowing down the browser. PLUS each extension needs its own co-app downloaded, which gets ridiculous.
But if by chance they are talking about the extension, they need to be prepared for additional costs, as each new extension comes with additional browser lag and memory use, and how many co-apps does one need on their computer?
We know with SF that any new versions are included with purchase. All the current modules at the time of purchase are included, and if/when more 4K comes to current providers, the 4K will be included at no extra cost. And if people think more at time of purchase, find a way to include the new product guarantee; you never know what new platform will be supported. Or they take ones that were once supported by one of the DRM downloaders and make them separate modules to support more features and make it easier to download shows.
Once SF is purchased, it is impossible to add the new product guarantee, and it can be hard to convince SF support to let you add it at a price. But I am sure they will at least consider it. Every time I contacted them about price or buying something, they responded very promptly.
And once word gets around, don’t be surprised if the extensions get removed from the Chrome store, as the extensions deal with DRM bypassing, and the Chrome store won’t tolerate that or tolerate extensions that download from YouTube.
I’ll stick with SF AIO.
