Plex not analysing

For the last few days, SF no longer seems to pick up anything to analyse on Plex. I have tried playing the movie and waiting for the ads to finish before clicking on the Analyse button but it just displays the analysing pop up but never gets any further.
Not sure if as log would be useful but I can upload one if necessary.

also, I’ve tried this on both the USA and UK Plex sites with the same outcome

StreamFab still has the notice that pops up occasionally that Plex is not working, but I use app.plex.tv and just tried a random movie, and it gives me the option to download.
The SRT seems to have an issue such as:

Interestingly, SF seems to only analyse the first Plex video attempted in a session. This appears to be true of both Plex Watch and Plex App. I found that I needed to restart StreamFab for each new Plex video.

I do see I can’t do more than one movie and then have to close the whole SF program and open it again.

But it sure is a pain adding one movie and then closing and opening SF again to add another.

Crazier now that the error message says the following, because it will download:

I still say, how bad can the changes be? I know others who have no issues with downloading using other methods.
But I use SF because it is easier.

The EAC3 offer is useless because nothing changes and SF downloads in AAC.

The SF warning popup seems to only appear the first time that a browser tab for either of the Plex sites is opened in a SF session, so I’m guessing that there is some kind of session initialisation going on which allows a title to be analysed despite the warning.

I tried analysing and queueing (but not downloading) a Plex title, restarting SF then queueing a second Plex title. I was then able to downloaded them both with no problem.

I agree that this seems like it ought to be a fairly straightforward fix.

I wish we knew.

I can get it to download one movie, then close SF and open and download another.
Or queue one download, close SF, and open and queue another and repeat. Then when the download queue is full or ready, let SF download.
As Plex does seem to download via SF and work properly with movies.
But I guess that’s the only notice SF has?
It should be something about analyzing only one movie in a SF session.
Why then do we have to close and open SF again? It is a loss. I tried other steps but only thing that worked was closing SF and then opening it to analyze the next movie.

You can try contacting them, but last I heard, those who did just got their tickets closed.

I have already posted back in a closed ticket, and it opens it again, but that still don’t say you will get very far.

This is now in the OPEN Problem Reports catalogue …
But still sad how long it’s been ongoing in SF.

robrocheleau58 Have you tried the latest version? Does it work? In the absence of a further report that Plex module still doesn’t work, the issue will me marked as fixed after 1300 GMT on Wed 20 May.

Ok, I wanted to post my findings.
First, some users feel it does not work because we get the popup below:

But I just click “ok,” and I can add several movies fine.
Once queued, they download.
With Plex, manual analyze, as far as I recall, NEVER worked.
You have to have auto-analyze on.
I myself find for me it works better using app.plex.tv (Plex App) than the (Plex Watch) option.

Most items may need mkv(mkvtoolnix) and some might work with MP4.
Using MP4 tends to have out-of-sync audio on Plex downloads.

Shows are now tested and working too. My testing was all with mkv(mkvtoolnix)

Stan001 thanks for taking the time to test it! People have no idea just how demoralising it is when they whine that there’s a bug, developers fix it, and then there’s no feedback whether it works or not… 🤷‍♂️
