7017+ AMZN single season mod (for those who know what they're doing)

since as the old thread got way too long and unpinned, time to start a new one…

Good news is that SF now analyses the first title of the currently selected season by default, but if you have a whole bunch of seasons and you only need to download a single episode… here’s the mod for the single season analysis:-

line 63 of amazon_get_season_urls.py: replace the RHS season_urls with [], or comment it out so you don’t have to retype it when you want to scrape all seasons, like:-

The default behavior before modding, I noticed when analyzing a show and it enumerates every season even with all the other fixes in the past. So if you do a show with 20 seasons, that is especially fun! Funny little glitch, it selects the first episode of the season in my Watch List, but it doesn’t say what season I am on. (Yes, the download still has the right Sxx info on it)

Unfortunately, this does not work for me with StreamFab 7.0.1.8.

After I changed the relevant Line in the Code, every Video on Amazon is analyzed endlessly.

Is there anything else to consider ?

I have not used the mod other then a breif time period. If Amazon is just endlessly analyzing then undo the change you made. See if it happens still, if it does then maybe download the offline installer and install again which should overwrite and reset the modded file to the default. There is also options In SF to clear temp folder, history & cookies you can try.
Last attempt is to clear/delete SF cache folder.

The shows I do right now have, at most, 4 seasons so it’s not that long to analyze all 4 seasons.

I do like the idea for shows that have 8-10 or even more seasons and then it should just analyze the current selected season.
But it’s hard to support the mod as if the mod is not done right or typed properly it may cause SF not to analyze at all or cause other issues analyzing on Amazon.

Users begged SF to implement something and here is a one added line of code they could implement but fail to do so,
Then it’s known the line is done properly if the SF developer would add it, and release it in a future SF update.

For me it works with amazon.com/.co.uk/.de + PrimeVideo ..

It works now, but the Analysis now takes a very long time each time.

It’s working for me with Amazon Prime US with the below code in the Python script (I just move the # comment token as needed to ignore one line or the other depending on my needs. I found this simpler for me as opposed to editing to the right of the colon and remembering to add or remove the brackets (“[]”) .

What line number do we find this code in? What are you referring to as to removing or adding brackets?
When I look at line 62, I presently see:

Updated to 7020, the line in question is now line 63.
So the single season mod should be
dict = {
“season_urls”:[]
}

And the default behavior is:
dict = {
“season_urls”:season_urls
}

Whether the mod works or not, as I won’t edit/modify my SF files, is the VERY LEAST of SF or any users’ worries.

Try jpp72’s mod; there is never a guarantee any will work with each new version of SF that comes.
They asked that they not be made a sticky (we are still looking to remove a few more stickies).
I did add links to both in the one main sticky I made, but I am sure not everyone has time to check them each update.
