unneeded update:

I have version 13.0.5.8 but for the last four days I keep getting “updates” that are version 13.0.5.8 and it try’s to install them even though it’s already have 13.0.5.8. My Norton antivirus kept crashing after about 15 seconds, when I uninstalled it and the Norton came back up and did a preliminary scan it detected 2 bits of Malware. Then I realized that DVDfab when it installed the update that I didn’t need, that’s how the malware got past Norton. I do not want anymore updates to my version 13.0.5.8

Maybe those with issues have to do what we do with streamfab sometimes.

Get HiBit Uninstaller and uninstall and have it scan for leftovers and remove them.
Then reboot computer and download the latest installer at:

Revo uninstaller is said to work at times also. Both are available for free.

I have v13058 on my computer open and closed it several times and it has not asked me to update.
I also tried the update option in the program and it says I have v13058, you are up to date.

BTW: I never ever had to run an installer as admin for any dvdfab product including streamfab or dvdfab.
I tried once with streamfab and seemed to make things worse, also I am already admin on my PC why would I need to then run as admin on an installer.

And John Leach i would recommend getting rid of Norton, look for another anti-virus, just not Kaspersky..
Maybe Bitdefender, ESET, OR Malwarebytes, Malwarebytes is my person favorite, or even AVG or Avast.

Glad to find it’s not just me, having this issue, and it is looked into already.
My virus scanner fSecure finds nothing harmful. So I guess the experience of the poster above is coincidental.

Hello, please remove the current version, delete the relevant files and folders under the Documents/DVDFab path. After that, download the offline version of v13058 via the link, and then install and run it as admin to try again. Thank you.

I deleted all the files as suggested, reloaded DVDFab, and I still get update requests for 13.0.5.8. Your suggested fix does nothing to correct this annoyance.
