UHD copy future plans

Now that lg is no longer manufacturing drives what is the future for opening 4K bluray or writing to blank 4K discs? Pioneers successor might continue to make drives under its new manufacturing company but Pioneer architecture doesn’t seem to be compatible?

I totally understand the concerns about LG no longer making drives and the future of 4K Blu-ray playback and writing. I wanted to let you know that our development team is actively working on adding support for more optical drives. In fact, we plan to include support for Pioneer drives in the near future. So stay tuned~
