It is followed by… “Please restart Kindle for PC to download the ebook again, then launch Bookfab and try importing once more.”

This solution doesn’t work with certain Kindle books, usually graphic intensive Kindle books. Although not all graphic intensive Kindle books. It’s rather frustrating.

The following Kindle books won’t covert & decrypt:

Spider-Man: Free Fall
Ultimate Marvel
Marvel Incredible Records: Amazing Powers and Astonishing Stats
Marvel Fearless and Fantastic!
Marvel: Powers of a Girl
Ancient Egypt: The Definitive Visual History
Star Wars Complete Locations
Steven Spielberg: A Little Golden Book Biography
Julie Andrews: A Little Golden Book Biography
Dick Van Dyke: A Little Golden Book Biography
DC Ultimate Character Guide New Edition
Star Wars Timelines
LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary Updated edition

I contacted someone at DVDFab support some time ago (I can’t find out where, sorry) & never heard back & still encounter this issue.

I also should mention that other Kindle books that I had in the queue at the same time as the above books, had no issues converting & decrypting.

There is no such feature in the feedback feature in the Bookfab menu that allows attachments.

I will attempt to do so here.

Note I was able to convert the following: Spider-Man: Free Falling (corrected title), Star Wars Encyclopedia (newly added title)

I also attempted (& failed) to convert the following: Star Wars Complete Locations New Edition

The rest in the list still won’t convert.

Please advise.

Paul Sondersted Thank you for providing the log file.
Please try the following steps:

Open Kindle for PC, go to settings, and change the book download path to a local folder that is not on OneDrive or any other cloud-synced directory.
After confirming the new path is set, re-download the Kindle books to the new location.
Open BookFab, go to the “Settings > Book Downloads”, and find the scan path for Kindle books. Make sure it matches the new download path set in Kindle for PC.
Save the settings and then run BookFab again to scan and manage the books.

*Please ensure that the Kindle books’ scan path in BookFab is consistent with Kindle for PC’s newly set download path so that BookFab can properly detect the Kindle books.

I changed the settings as requested & attempted to convert all of the titles listed & I’m still encountering the “Amazon account authorization failed” error.

Note 1: When I attempted to convert the following titles: Marvel: Powers of a Girl & Ancient Egypt: The Definitive Visual History they would not even show up in Bookfab after redownloaded them. I also attempted to convert a newer Kindle book that I recently purchased (Stan Lee: A Life Well Lived) & that also did not show up in Bookfab after downloading.

Note 2: As I mentioned in my last message, I successfully converted the following titles: Spider-Man: Free Falling & Star Wars Encyclopedia. However, this was just a test as I had successfully converted these titles prior to this newer settings change.

I have attached the latest bookfab.log file.

With the latest Amazon update as of 4/22 I am also getting Amazon account authorization failed.

Just downloaded the latest BookFab update 1.2.2.9 and the “Amazon account authorization failed” is still not fixed.

I think they’re going to wait for the new Kindle app that’s due for release on May 1 before they have their techs devote time to this.

Of course, I’m just speculating.

We’ll see.

What is the Kindle for PC version you are currently running?
Please try downloading Kindle for PC v2.8 and redownload the books. Then Run BookFab to try again.

I tried with Kindle v2.8 and I am hitting same exact issue still. This product doesn’t work on a lot of my books, just fails with same error. I submitted a ticket but not getting a response from their support. Not a good experience so far.
