A question about the supported websites: Music-Fab lists various platforms under “VIP Services.”

Further down is “All Supported Websites.” Numerous other platforms are listed there.

What is the difference between “All Supported Websites” and the “VIP Services”?

Bandcamp, for example, is listed below, but I have doubts about the FLAC download, as the download speed is much too fast compared to Tidal for FLAC files. I suspect it’s just MP3 converted to FLAC.

Generally, the VIP modules have direct API calls; where the web grab is just whatever is in the web browser when you click download. If t hey are pushing an MP3 file, then that is what you get.

Bandcamp streams music in 128kbps MP3 format on their website and mobile app.

Sorry for the late reply and thanks for the information.

So, if I understand correctly, there’s no way to download from Bandcamp except in MP3 format, since only the bandcamp-stream is used for downloads? I can download uncompressed material from Bandcamp otherwise.

You can download your purchases from Bandcamp in FLAC, which I do.
For “stream ripping” – limited to what the stream actually is on offer. 🙂
