I have had it since the early days and used for DVD’s, then BR, of which the success rate was over 9 out of 10. I have had a different history with this program and ripping 4k.
Generally, I am successful in ripping 4k only (cloning takes a lot of time to get into .iso file and takes a lot of space and does not work all of the time) 5 out of 10. I guess I cannot complain too much for what it does in backing up my catalog but wish it would work more consistently for 4k/uhd discs.
I have sent multiple logs to dev with spotty replies about looking into the issues. one solution was even buying passkey! why would I buy passkey when I already own rights to dvdfab? the solution in dvdfab includes what passkey already does! i have really given up using this program and hope in future, I would be happy with ⅞ out of 10.
I was excited when 13.0.5.8 came out and marketing as they redid the whole thing and now the program will work better with less read errors. they are wrong for 4k/uhd discs.
Using the newest version, I went back and tried 11 different 4k discs. Disc condition is for the most part excellent condition with minimal scratches if at all. by the way, DVD/BR i have had disc that i have played Frisbee with and scratched to all hell, and was still able to be ripped.
