are you using the regular youtue downloader or the youtube movies downloader ???

I actually tried both, same result = FAILED! Although whichever version of the downloader I used, it still presented itself as just YouTube. I also noticed that SF repeated the analysis process before ultimately failing. Really annoying as I actually paid for a subscription to the channel allowing me access to ad-free content and in higher resolution than the free versions.

just tried one of their videos, -
for me, under video codec H264 gives me endless anylizing. if i choose AV1, the video downloads

Which proves there’s an issue with H264. Thanks for confirming. AV1 is no good for me, as I need H264 and MKV for burning to Blu-ray for playback on my stand alone Panasonic player. I’ve raised a ticket so will update with your findings for an added kick for them to sort this out. Thanks again my friend, genuinely appreciate your help with this.

AV1 is wrapped in a MKV container and can easily be transcoded to H264 using HandBrake, ffmpeg directly, or one of many other free / paid products.

Given we can’t control what services decide to offer us, or when they change their UI/API and it breaks SF - if we have specific requirements we need to be flexible and willing to adapt. Search Google for “convert av1 to h264” and there are many options.

Just converted this AV1 MKV file using HandBrake - From Netflix, but same concept.

There has been an ongoing issue via YouTube with StreamFab.

If using H264, you can NOT pick the top selection; you need to drop down to the one lower.

See Screenshot. It then analyzes and downloads.

Also looking at the original OP, SF can’t find the path to save the file, and that screenshot even indicates it’s a Windows error, meaning the path or location does not exist.

This will, I fear, be a forever complaint.
I even said they should have the latest nightly. (which is 2026.04.10.235301)

7021 does come with its complied version (YoutubeToMP3Process.exe) dated 2026.03.17, and yt-dlp is 2026.03.17
Most likely fixed with SF version 7021.
