New Kindle PC App for June 2026 (Kindle Legacy)

Today I opened the Kindle App on PC, wanting to download books for using Bookfab on them. A pop up said, that this App is going to be decommissioned and will be replaced by an App from the Microsoftstore. Does anyone know, what this could entail for the future of removing DRM via Bookfab?
