How to check for issues for Windows users:
Step 1: Check Firewall / Antivirus
Confirm that all connected websites are allowed through your firewall and antivirus software.
Possibly try temporarily disabling the antivirus and firewall.
If already done, proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Check and Repair the HOSTS File
The HOSTS file may have been modified, redirecting DVDFab domains incorrectly. Follow these steps:
a. Locate the file:
Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
b. Edit the file:
Right-click the hosts file and select “Open with” > “Notepad.”
Find and delete all lines containing dvdfab or related domain names.
c. The default or to reset host file, how to, can be seen here > https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-reset-the-hosts-file-back-to-the-default-c2a43f9d-e176-c6f3-e4ef-3500277a6dae
d. Save the file:
Press Ctrl + S to save.
If you cannot save due to permission issues, use this workaround:
a. Save As the modified file to your Desktop (it will have a .txt extension).
b. Rename the file on your Desktop by removing the .txt extension, so the name is just hosts.
c. Copy this corrected hosts file and paste it back into C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc, replacing the original file when prompted.
Step 3: So you say it’s still not working; power cycle internet devices, including modems/routers, and reboot the computer.
Try changing the your DNS; read here > https://www.pdq.com/blog/change-dns-server-settings-in-windows/
Try using a proxy or VPN to access the sites. Or if using a proxy or VPN, try disconnecting it.
If this all fails, try checking with your ISP.
