intermittent missing subtitles since version 7.0.2.2 - 7.0.2.3

I have noticed that if I download a season of any show , when checking files after , intermittent episodes do not have subtitles. If I redownload those same episodes again they do have subtitles. When I go back to version 7.0.2.0 the subtitles are always downloaded if available. Have noticed this with Apple TV , Amazon , Disney+ .
Is it just me? I see no mention of this anywhere
I went back to using 7020, which works fine for me for now

I have found with channel 4 that the subtitles are there in the temp file and then for some reason just deleted at the muxing stage

This is not a new issue .. so it has nothing to do with topic - see here

In my example shown, I used Remux Into File ..
.. and I can confirm that I get nothing (in Output) with Extract to SRT or Original

This is a log file running windows 11 pro with SF 7023 , in Canada no vpn
downloaded 2 seasons from amazon
Magpie Murders episode 1 and 6 missing subtitles
Patience episode 1 and 6 missing subtitles
got 2 episodes from Apple TV of The Studio , first one missing subtitles
All of them when i got back and redownload them the subtitles are there and succeed

pjr57 you’ve got a whole bunch of network errors in the log, could they be the culprit?

I suppose it is possible, although I find it odd they would only cause issues since version 7022 .
2 pc’s setup to run SF and both seem to do the same thing.
Don’t use subtitles much but get them for occasional use , but honestly I thought if people checked there recent downloads there would be missing subtitles.
So maybe it is just me

pjr57 I literally have a powershell script that checks various things on SF downloads (due to various experiences over the last years), and yes, it flags occasions where there are no subtitles for a download, not flagged once…

Unlike you though, I download them to the original format, not convert-then-mux them into mp4 itself 🤷‍♂️

I was not aware of any converting of the files but yes they are muxed in the mp4. Has always worked before.
Actually the default setting in SF if I’m not mistaken.
So seems to be a issue with the processing at the end not the actual download

pjr57 of course they are getting converted- amzn’s native format is ttml, atv’s, and d+’s are webvtt, one way or another they have to end up as 3gpp tt format to get jammed into MP4, as harldy anything supports proper fancy mp4 subtitles… 🤷‍♂️

pjr57 curiously enough, I just hit this exact problem with HBO and 7022… two of about 80 episodes didn’t have subtitles, re-downloaded the episodes and got subtitles… (and I download subtitles in their original format)

UPDATE: This is weird. It seems to be a Amazon issue NOT a SF issue. When i try to stream the episode there are no subtitles for my language for this episode. I think Amazon F-ed up.

Yea, i´m not getting subtitles on Amazon. It only download 1 out of three subtitles. The series marshals ep11. I´m on the SF 7.0.2.4. If i try to download only the subtitles i want, i get a red error. PLEASE FIX !!!! I´m in EU if that helps.

Update: I downloaded episode 10 and that worked fine, but ep11 i only get 1 (eng) subtitle out of 3 (Swe,eng,no).
