Only 1080p and AAC2.0 with Paramount+ on 7.0.2.3

I have signed into my Paramount+ account with Streamfab for the first time and everything appears in max resolution of 1080p and max audio is always AAC2.0. I tried logging in and out a few times, but still the same result. Do I need to do anything else to get better audio and video options?

I can play movies in UHD as usual on my TV with my Paramount+ account.

I can only confirm that I get also max 1080p for this title ..
.. but I’ve currently no P+ Premium - only Essential

However, I read in post 46 here that 4K exists or existed.

btw: With same account I can get Star Trek Into Darkness in 3840×2160

Thanks for checking. Below is what I see for that title. Only 1080p and AAC2.0 again. It plays in UHD on my TV from the same account.
I must have something wrong in my Streamfab setup, but I don’t know where to look. I don’t see any P+ specific setup.

There are no SF settings specifically for P+

Please close SF, go to %AppData%\DVDFab\StreamFab\rootCachePath
and rename the cache directory - then re-login, close tab and try again.

If it doesn’t make a difference, you can undo this after SF has been closed ..
.. and if it works you need relogin for all providers

Otherwise, it could depend on the (unknown) country (it’s known for Austria - here)

Thanks. I tried that process, but got the same result. Still only 1080p/AAC2.0 available for me.

I can see UHD/HDR on my TV, but I noticed that when I log in to P+ in Chrome on my PC the movies front page does not state 4K/UHD HDR in the description. Could it be a windows problem?

What they added 4K option to P+, wasn’t there a specific process to follow to unlock it?

With version 7012, SF switched to Android endpoints to enable resolutions exceeding 1080p.
Consequently, a re-login was required to obtain a different (Android instead Windows) cookie.

That is normal, as it is not offered in Chrome … see my last post:
SF >7011 uses Android cookie/endpoints for precisely this reason.

I tried on a different PC and same result. I have an Ireland P+ account. Not sure what else to try.

I have no P+ account in IE, so I retried with P+ UK Account using VPN in Dublin ..
.. and “Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning” is maximal 1080p like everywhere.

Surprise: I get “Star Trek Into Darkness” also only in 1080p (I got HDR/DoVi in USA + AU)

Hello, I have a P+ Premium subscription and on Star Trek Into Darkness, I have 4K HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. However, for audio, only the English version is available in Atmos; the other languages have a low bitrate and are in stereo.

I hope for an update on better audio support for this service.

.. and of course, what is not offered can’t be dl

It’s P+ default that Atmos is mostly (always?) only for original language offered

If possible, try using AU (your account should work - unlike in US)

If you aren’t offered HDR/DoVi there, the country likely doesn’t matter ..
.. in which case - like the 540p limit for SF <7012 ..
.. it depends on the age of the (unmodified) P+ account.

That worked. I VPN’ed to the UK and now I see UHD with Atmos, as below, but no HDR. Looks like it is a region problem. I thought the specs would be the same across all regions.

I will try other regions and see what I get.
