Hi forum,
I have quite a few Blu-rays with English audio tracks. I’d like to add a German audio track to them and then burn a new Blu-ray. I’m using DVDFab with Blu-ray After Edit and PlayerFab to test the resulting Blu-ray.
Yesterday I tried a BR DL 50GB with quite a lot BD-J, Extras, many audio tracks etc.
Results:
- OK: Adding a German AC3 audio track worked.
- OK: In PlayerFab, the folder containing the newly created Blu-ray disc can be opened and played.
- OK: The English audio works in PlayerFab.
- Error: The movie starts with no sound; an audio track must first be selected. The original Blu-ray disc has an STD track for the audio.
- Error: The German audio can be selected; it is also briefly confirmed in a pop-up; however, the English audio continues to play.
- Error: While PlayerFab is running, interaction (keyboard, mouse) with all other open windows is not possible. When PlayerFab is closed, it works again.
- Error: The disc has 3 audio tracks: English LPCM 1.0 / English AC3 1.0 / German AC3 2.0. When an audio track is selected in the context menu, this is briefly confirmed in a pop-up; when the context menu is displayed again, the selection reverts to Track 1.
The size of the original BR is 45.9GB, the rebuild is 46.1GB. This fits with the size of the additional track.
But comparing MediaInfo for the original Blu-ray and the new Blu-ray shows no difference. And MediaInfo does not find a German audio track.
What am I doing wrong? Or have I encountered a limitation in After Edit’s capabilities when working with Blu-rays that make extensive use of BD-J?
I’ve opened a support case already. I’d appreciate to hear experiences from others.
