The extensions they just started in the last month or two.
So there are not many older coapps. None that will work on Win 8.
I hate to think how far back StreamFab would go before it would even attempt to run on Win 8.
And being that old, even then StreamFab won’t work due to continued changes on the streaming platforms.
As simchris says, Win 8 has been dead, maybe not as long as Win 7 but close.
Not many newly made or updated programs will support Win 7 or Win 8.
Even Win 10 support from Microsoft is ending.
The main reason many Win 10 programs work and stay around is because Win 11 can run many Win 10 programs.
I had to leave Win 7 and Win 8, as I could not even get updated browsers for them.
Went on to Win 10 from Win 8; that computer started getting slow, so finally had to spring for a Win 11 Pro computer with 32 gigabytes of memory, a 1 TB NVMe SSD drive, an i9 with an Nvidia graphics card, which many DVDFab products use a GPU to accelerate the programs.
I went as far out as possible within a budget, as many have 64 gig and higher memory. 32 gigabytes just has to do what I need. Wish had the money for 128 gigabytes of memory…
You don’t need to go crazy; grab a Win 11 laptop and grab USB external storage. Even with mine being a desktop, I have like 3 external USB hard drives to store movies and videos.
It’s time to move on; I know some who keep a Win 7 computer because the apps never updated for Win 10 or above.
I just removed what stopped working once I moved to Win 10. Yes, some apps will act up on a Win 11, and even StreamFab may act up on a Win 10 system because of limited security updates, so maybe keep your Win 8 if you need it and supplement with a Win 11 laptop.
