Crunchyroll Stuck on "Analyzing" Indefinitely - Error 107 / HTTP 429

Hello, I am very new to streamfab and I have been using it mostly for crunchyroll and netflix,
never had any issue with either but today after downloading a season (12-13 episodes) when the next episode in queue was being analyzed I got an error on crunchyroll side “KAT-3002”, this has also shown up on other devices connected to the same account so I believe it is some sort of Account level shadow ban.
I hope this will clear up in a day but how can I avoid this from happening?

october262 yeah I did read up on that, just wondering if there was some setting to force slower downloads from Crunchyroll so that it doesn’t flag up the account. That would be a way to sort the problem right? Plus I just wanted to mention that the error I got was different!

In that thread Chrunchyroll is throwing a KAT-6005 error and here KAT-3002 error. According to my logs, this now is a proper rate limit, throwing an http 429 error. In the other thread I just saw 420 (not an official code) and 204.

Previously I had several issues with Crunchyroll. Async (probably caused when downloading multiple audiotracks) and then constant analyzing errors, which was not an account temp ban, just inside SF. Don’t know which error code Crunchyroll showed then.

I guess Crunchyroll rate limited me around 55ish downloads. Don’t know if it fully blocks the download or resumes after a while, because I was taking a nap and cleared the logs after that, to see myself.

Also I can’t help much, as my subscription is running out. The shows I wanted to see all ended and I’m just getting a few shows that look interesting and I want to watch later, maybe. I already had some shows that did got removed, when I found the time to watch them but good thing was, that I got them beforehand.

Edit: After around 30 Minutes and 20 downloads, the same rate limit hit. Didn’t cleared up on the full hour.

Is this being addressed at all? I have seen an outstanding issues list but this isn’t mentioned. I have submitted feedback a few times on this and unlike any other issue, I have never received a reply from support. Just wondering what the plan is for fixing this problem. I’m hoping I don’t lose Crunchyroll like I did Amazon.

What works for me right now is putting a pause timer, so every three episodes I download it stops for 20 minutes, it’s a built in feature in the settings, I haven’t experimented if a shorter time between downloads would work . But I had no issues with 3ep, 20min.

Unfortunately user’s have fixes long before anything comes from SfF develper.

Seems best to take breaks between at lat least a few downloads amd then wait and continue after some time, continue for a few and take a break again or try the pause time feature which was designed to work with most modules, but there are times it will stop and get stuck in waiting,.

Maybe a long wait for developer to fix, maybe coitacing SF feedback support might get some attention,but SF fixes things as they feel. YT movies diwnloader took over a month and iis still not fully working on all movies with ads.

Yeah I get that. Which is why a fix won’t come quickly. Developer won’t want to add pauses for one module.

I fix most myself, I don’t Download from Anazon unless it’s maybe 1 or 2 movies or 1 or 2 episodes. So NO bans.

I know when I first started with Amazon used all 100 for several days in a row. But same with disney and no bans there either.

Take breaks, 100 downloads can go fast, and my ISP even lowered my speed from over a I gig diwnload speed to now just a bit over 500 meg a second. And it’s still plenty fast.

I’m having a persistent issue where StreamFab gets completely stuck on “Analyzing” indefinitely when trying to download shows from Crunchyroll.

My Setup & Troubleshooting:

Region: USA

StreamFab Versions: I’m currently on 7.0.2.6. I tried upgrading to 7.0.2.8 to see if it was patched, and when that didn’t work, I downgraded back down, but the issue still hasn’t been fixed. (Note: The attached log was generated during a run on 7.0.2.7, but the behavior is exactly the same across these versions).

The Issue:
Whenever I try to queue up an episode (in the log’s case, Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon), the process hangs on the analyzing phase and eventually fails.

I took a look through the log file I’m attaching, and it seems like the software is getting hit with rate limits and failing to grab the manifest. I keep seeing these specific errors popping up:

Has anyone else in the US been running into this HTTP 429 Rate Limit error lately, or does anyone have a workaround? I’ve attached my full StreamFab.log file for the devs to review.

There is another post but a somewhat different error code, but it seems that it’s possible Crunchyroll is imposing a rate limit.

I just tested this out by logging into a completely different Crunchyroll account, and guess what? The downloads resumed instantly and the analyzing block completely vanished.

It looks like Crunchyroll is definitely enforcing strict, account level rate limits or temporary soft-bans once you trigger a certain threshold. Appreciate the insight, at least now we know it’s an account-specific restriction rather than a total software meltdown.

Hopefully, the StreamFab devs can look into tweaking how the downloader requests tokens to avoid triggering these flags in the future!

Just an update on this for anyone tracking the thread:

When the download eventually fails under the restricted account, the main task queue throws the exact error shown in the attached image 2345.PNG:

“Failed to obtain MPD/M3U8, please contact us for assistance.”

Looking closely at the underlying engine logs, this message isn’t a new or separate bug, it is just the generic user-interface wrapper for Error Code 107. Because Crunchyroll returns an HTTP 429 rate-limit block on the playback token requests, the software is physically blocked from parsing the video stream data. Since it can’t read the stream data, it fails to locate the master manifest files (the MPD/M3U8 playlists) and gives up, showing the text in 2345.PNG.

If anyone else is hitting this exact manifest error on Crunchyroll right now, try swapping to a different or fresh account to verify if your primary profile is stuck in a temporary rate-limit cooldown!

I need to correct my last update, though, I spoke a bit too soon.I am actually using the new account right now. While switching accounts completely got rid of the kat-3002 error code, the blocker didn’t actually go away. Instead, it just shifted to a different error message.
Now, the UI is throwing the message shown in 2345.PNG:“Failed to obtain MPD/M3U8, please contact us for assistance.”
If you look at the fresh log I’ve attached, you can see the underlying engine is still getting hammered with HTTP 429 (Too Many Requests) response codes from Crunchyroll’s playback API endpoints: httpstatus : 429 request Url : https://www.crunchyroll.com/playback/v3/… [Critical]: [RFC.crunchyrollDownload] [ERROR] GetDataAVS failed, error code: 107 Because the kat-3002 code disappeared but the HTTP 429/Error 107 manifest failure is happening on a totally clean account, it looks like Crunchyroll’s rate-limiting is much broader.
They might be tracking and soft-banning by IP address, Machine ID, or they’ve updated something on their backend that is triggering blocks on the current request methods used in versions 7.0.2.7 and 7.0.2.8. Is anyone else getting these relentless 429 manifest drops even after switching profiles or changing IPs? Let me know if the logs give any clues.

LAST UPDATE!

I wanted to drop a quick update because I finally found a definitive way to bypass this entire headache without getting hit by the kat-3002 code or subsequent manifest drops. It turns out you just have to manually slow the downloader down so it mimics a normal human viewing pattern and doesn’t trip Crunchyroll’s automated security flags.

If you are experiencing this block, go into your settings and configure the Download Interval feature with these exact steps: Set the episode limit: Configure it to download 2 episodes at a time. Set the pause duration: Configure a 10-minute pause interval between batches. Conceptually, this cooling-off period keeps your connection right under the threshold of their aggressive playback endpoint limits.

I’ve tested this and it successfully pulls down entire shows without getting choked out by the server. Granted, building your library this way is going to take a bit longer, but it’s a completely stable, set-and-forget solution that actually works while we wait for the developers to optimize the client’s token request behavior! Let me know if this handles the error for the rest of you.
