Plex not working?

Is it just me doing something wrong or is it everyone? I cannot get Plex to analyze the URL, running the latest version that came out yesterday.

Works fine on my end

Try app.plex.tv instead watch.plex.tv, be sure you’re logged in
and automatic analysis is enabled - otherwise close SF, go to:
%AppData%\DVDFab\StreamFab\rootCachePath
and rename the cache directory - then re-login, close tab and try again

Tried these steps, renamed the cache and all. Had to log back into Plex app again. Still doesn’t work. Says its analysing the file and then fails almost instantly.

I cannot guess which country you are trying from
and I do not see a StreamFab.log

Consequently, I can only conclude that you
seem to be the only one with this problem.

Plex is still working for me on the UK, US and Canadian sites.
Interestingly though, on some downloads (MP4) the audio lags the video by exactly 9 seconds.

Network: Standard home connection
VPN: Not in use during testing
Tailscale: Disabled during testing (issue persists)
Malwarebytes: Disabled during testing (issue persists)

Issue Summary
StreamFab successfully loads Plex content and detects metadata (shows and movies), but fails during episode and stream extraction.
All Plex content (TV shows and movies) fails analysis with:
parseWatch fail
No episodes or playable streams found
Episode count = 0
Other streaming services (e.g., Amazon Prime) work normally, so StreamFab core functionality appears unaffected.

Plex URL Used
Primary test environment: https://app.plex.com
(Previously also tested watch.plex.tv behavior, but current usage is app.plex.com as recommended by Plex UI/forums.)

Affected Content
Plex TV shows (multiple titles tested)
Plex movies (multiple titles tested)
All seasons and episodes fail to analyze consistently

Steps Already Taken

Reinstalled StreamFab completely
Logged out and back into Plex inside StreamFab
Tested multiple Plex TV shows and movies
Confirmed issue occurs across all Plex content
Disabled Tailscale completely (no change)
Disabled Malwarebytes real-time and web protection (no change)
Verified Amazon Prime works correctly in StreamFab
Confirmed issue is isolated to Plex module only

Expected Behavior
StreamFab should analyze Plex content successfully
Episode lists and/or available streams should be detected and displayed

Actual Behavior
Plex pages load and metadata is detected
Season/movie structure is detected correctly
Episode/stream extraction fails every time
Analysis ends at parseWatch fail
No downloadable content is found

Key Observations
Issue occurs across ALL Plex content tested (not title-specific)
Failure happens at the same stage every time (watch/episode parsing)
Other streaming services in StreamFab function normally
Problem appears isolated to Plex analyzer module

Additional Technical Notes
Using app.plex.com (modern Plex web app interface)
No VPN, proxy, or filtering tools active during testing
System fully updated and StreamFab reinstalled cleanly
Likely failure occurs during episode data extraction stage of Plex parser

Please verify:

Compatibility of Plex module with current app.plex.com structure
Whether parseWatch fail indicates a known regression in 7.0.3.3
If a hotfix or beta build resolves Plex analysis failure
Whether Plex analysis requires updated parser logic for current frontend

I have been using ffmpeg as a workaround with the following command:
ffmpeg -i "input.mp4" -itsoffset 9.000 -i "input.mp4" -map 0:v -map 1:a -c copy "output.mp4"

Those with Plex analyzing issues will have to post location and a streamfab.log.

I checked a few shows and have no issue. I am on the East Coast, USA.

The mystery seems to be solved…
… I do see Amazon in the log, but apparently no valid Plex url

.. so I don’t know what you are requesting.
What exactly do you want to dl, and using which URL?

I always recommend that users delete the streamfab.log file right before trying the trouble service or video(s).
You have a 3MB log file
I kind of get that you’re getting files from the recommended section, but that also works for me.
I also think I saw something related to rented I don’t rent or buy movies or shows from any service.

I also see you say you reinstalled StreamFab completely.
More often, it helps to clear the temp folder, history, and cookies.
If still no go, then try the rootCachePath, some suggest renaming it, and then streamfab will recreate and require logins to all providers.

One last thing: make sure auto Analyze is ON, as Plex won’t work if it’s off.

The log still shows incomplete links. When I try one link, I get <Error error=“Unauthorized” message=“Invalid token” statusCode=“401”/>

Can you say one or two video(s) by name so they can be tried by others? I can try as I use app.plex.

Are you trying to download a rented video? as I don’t know if they work, as I never rent or buy from any online provider.

Stan001 I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I’ve even tried “total uninstall” to remove all folders that the installer adds. I am trying to use on my friends server, I’ve even tried on mine and another friends none of which work. It may say invalid token because I removed all authorised devices to reset the tokens, because I didn’t want anyone getting unauthorised access to my server via X-Token.

I still think you should try an uninstall and reinstall again.

Clear the temp folder, history, and cookies.

If you have no luck find the rootCachePath folder, some recommend renaming it, and then StreamFab will recreate it and try again.

If not, it may be a location issue or VPN issue. I use NO VPN, and I am in the East Coast, USA.

I did see your video of trying, and you tried Cheerleader Camp. Sorry to say, but it’s working here.

BTW: I searched your log and didn’t find tv.plex.provider.vod and all my links have that.

Are you trying videos that are on others’ Plex servers? I don’t think SF supports that, plus that user would need to activate download ability.

SF is mainly for the ‘free’ w/ads movies (under Movies & Shows)

.. but you are talking about dl from private plex servers
and you didn’t manage to mention that in four posts.

I cannot test that personally, and I never have.

BTW: Plex, if it’s yours or other libraries, you can Save File right from Plex, although someone else’s libraries HAVE TO HAVE download active.
