Not Getting Forced Subtitles

I downloaded Mythic Quest from Apple TV. After watching the episode S3E7, “Sarian,” I noticed it was missing forced subtitles (a character was speaking Tagalog).
I needed to analyze just that episode, so that SF would “see” that it has a forced subtitles track. I don’t know if it’s just me but manual analysis doesn’t work for Apple.
I had to copy the URL and pasted it in the address bar, so it would analyze just the episode. It worked.
Not a big deal, but is there an easier way to do this? I don’t want to have to do that for all the episodes to check if they also have forced subtitles.

Xenos yup, ATV module doesn’t respect the the manual analysis… Even if it did, you’d not be able to select which episode to analyse. The way to force an analysis is to play that episode in the ATV app and stop it so that Apple registers that episode on continue watching, then when you come to analyse the show, ATV module will pick that episode for analysis… Cumbersome, but it works (or at least did, don’t know if still does, had no need to try recently)…

So does the episode have forced subs when you analyse it manually? (sounds like a bug report that needs to be catalogues 😉 )

Yes, it has a forced subtitles track. And thank you for the advice. Would that also help get the forced subtitles tracks for any other episode that has them?

Xenos Edit: Hmm, when I try your suggestion, the analysis doesn’t kick in. It just plays the episode. I tried turning auto analysis on and off.

Hmmm… Did you try closing the ATV module in SF and re-opening it to make sure that the played episode was actually in “continue watching” list? If it doesn’t work, something must’ve changed in the last few months…

OK, that episode was in the continue window, but when I downloaded it, it still didn’t have the forced track.

Xenos ok, can you open the log file in notepad, clear it out, then save it (as an empty file), then get SF to analyse the show (no need to quit and restart SF nor the ATV module), then dump the logfile here? 😃

FYI: if anyone cares, episode S4E5, “Second Skeleton” also has forced subtitles and I was able to get them the same way as I did above.

Xenos does 7037 help with the forced subs at all?

0xFeedBeef No, it doesn’t. The behavior is different, though. There are three subtitle tracks instead of one, but alas, none of them are the forced subtitles. Tracks 1 & 2 are identical.
