Paramount + - The Agency S2 - "FAILED TO OBTAIN MPD/M3U8."

Greetings,

I tried grabbing season 2 of “The Agency” on Paramount Plus and after the first episode, all other episodes fail to download with the following error message:

“FAILED TO OBTAIN MPD/M3U8. please contact us for assistance”

I have restarted Streamfab and deleted and reloaded the queue and still getting the same message. No issues downloading from P+ in the past and I have never seen this error message.

This is on Windows/PC, on 7.03.03

Any advice?

no problem in uk P+ SF running 7.0.3.3 what in your log file

Works for me too - tested in US + DE

But no one knows in which country it was used or what selection you made.

Please close SF, go to %AppData%\DVDFab\StreamFab\rootCachePath
and rename the cache directory - then re-login, close tab and try again
(re-login is then required for all providers)

I am in the US.
I have logged in and out of P+, and I have restarted SF multiple times and rebooted the PC. This issue is only present on P+ and only for this title. Other shows/movies download fine.
I typically go for the highest quality, so in this case the highest quality 1080P setting with EAC 5.1 and English subtitles
Each download fails on analysis in the queue so I can’t get to the screen above to show you what it is actually attempting to download at.
And when you say rename the cache directory rename it to what?

The name is irrelevant (e.g. cacheOld) .
.. so it’s recreated with name cache without cookies.

Hallo,
I have the same problem. The Agency S1 works fine S2 not. Also From S0409 did not work. Rename of the cache directory does not help.

I was automatically logged out in Germany,
and I currently cannot log in using my non-German accounts (not 403)

But it seems to work everywhere else (tested AU, CA, UK, US)

Germania Are you able to download any other episode of The Agency Season 2?
The first episode it downloaded form S2 for me no problem. It is the rest of that season that it won’t.

Usually indicative of server issues. If you encounter a key that SF has not seen yet, the point of it all is the server sends it to you. Sometimes that takes longer than it should, so you get an error. Trying it an hour later, or the next day and it usually works. I was having this issue with AMZ a lot at one point.

I selected 5 epis - and I get 5 epis (no 2nd attempt, no tricks)

0xFeedBeef In that thread folks seem to mainly be complaining about not being able to download in 4k with DV/HDR. I mean I guess I could try it, but this doesn’t seem to be the same issue. This only is happening with this one show and with certain episodes which I’d be perfectly fine with 1080p.
From the replies, at least I am glad to see it ain’t just me.

CLV0780 Gee… The Agency is a 4K title, that beta has a new way of fetching things for 4K titles… you’d think something might be related?.. In any event, is tying it worse than “does not work”? 🙄

0xFeedBeef Can’t tell you. Just tried test version and it analyzes as 1080p and fails to download just like with the release version of 7.03.03

Both works for me in US .. (and now again in DE with new 2 months account)

.. the last five episodes tested were the test version (P+ Prem US)
s02e02 in my first answer (post #4) was the official release (P+ Std AR in DE)
same with s02e01 (+ From.s04e09) in post #8 (P+ Std CA)
