Convert to SRT Issue

Hello, I’m having an issue with the Apple TV downloaders Convert to SRT feature, it seems to be luck of the draw of Streamfab actually downloading the subtitles I selected, the option also seems to convert only the extension to .srt and leave the actual type as WebVTT, the issue I’m having trouble with is Ant Man (2015) purchased title, the .srt is actually a WebVTT title according to MKVToolNix as well as looking into the subtitles themselves.

smichaelis0104 are you downloading them as a separate SRT or are you merging (whatever) into MKV?

MKV will not convert WebVTT into SRT as discussed in another thread

I’d like to follow up that this is Streamfab for Mac, 7.0.3.1

I click on Extract to SRT, Streamfab then provides me a .srt file that I later try to merge into my .MKV manually. When looking into the file that it provides me it only changes the extension name and doesn’t remove any of the WebVTT data

I use extract to original format then paste the file https://subtitlekit.com/en/universal-converter/. The link does the converting for me and allows me to download the converted file.

Blurayfan This is perfect! Tried messing with ffmpeg converter and a few other websites but they all had issues, this worked perfect and I will go this route going forward, thanks!

Or you can use Subtitle Edit freeware to edit, convert, or create subtitles.
