Paramount+ playback error 3005 is back, StreamFab 7.0.3.3

I had resolved both the login problem and the 3005 problem when I upgraded to 7.0.3.1 - downloaded some episodes of Dutton Ranch and everything was fine. Today the login still works but the 3005 problem is back. Upgraded to 7.0.3.3 (using offline installer) and clear the temp directory - that approach had worked at least for the last year. But the 3005 is still there. Tried about 10 different shows and movies. Getting the 3005 everywhere. I do have a Paramount+ account, no provider login.

I logged out, logged back in. My P+ account in SF showing
Downloads Available today 0/100.
Selected TERM-DARK-FATE movie, atmos/vision, 4K; added to queue.
It seemed to download just fine.

SF7033 (non beta); US, no VPN, legal account, GoogleDNS.

For me, the problem existed with every SF version ..
(using PlayReady => SF >7011)
.. but it primarily affects only newer titles.

If you want to stream online, use your regular browser
(it also makes it easier to block ads, if necessary)
and if you want to download, the error is insignificant.

So I don’t understand why this needs a third topic now ..
.. I wrote 16 days ago (here)

this don’t change the error 3005 after trying to play current releases
(Analysis and Download continue to work just fine for me, of course)

Whenever I attempt to download a Paramount+ program I receive and error message saying “The video is currently unavailable. Please try again. Error code 3005.” I’ve reached out to DVDFab but they’ve been unable to help me. Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks.

The error is irrelevant for analyzing/download - see above

If you can’t analyse, close SF, rename cache in
%AppData%\DVDFab\StreamFab\rootCachePath
then re-login, close tab and try again
(re-login is then required for all providers)

If this doesn’t help, try a complete uninstallation and reinstallation.

Thanks. I have no idea where to find the cache. I’ve also tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail.

But there is no connection there ..
.. I can analyze without opening the player

I’ve already written about this more than eight times
in the forum across more than three threads,
and even posted picture here.

And you hadn’t mentioned at all that you’re unable to analyze ..

It’s right above you, and I also post it almost daily

If you want to determine your personal path,
open in SF “My Account” -> “Open Log Folder”
open StreamFab.log and search for: rootCachePath

I’m sorry that I may have stepped on somebody’s patience by opening a new thread. For me the problem was fixed when 7.0.3.1 came out. Worked for several weeks, no errors at all. Then the 3005 reappeared. Summary:

If I want to stream online, I would not use StreamFab. That’s what a TV is for.
If I wanted to download, the 3005 was not insignificant, because the “Analyze” button stayed disabled.
Deleting the rootCachePath fixed it, thank you.
