Hello,
I have just received the new Avatar 3 3D Blu-ray release. Like Avatar 2, the movie is split across two Blu-ray discs because it is too large to fit on a single disc.
When I rip the first disc with DVDFab 13, everything works perfectly.
However, when I rip the second disc, I encounter an audio issue at the beginning of the movie. There is an audio glitch lasting approximately 1 to 2 seconds, which is only audible in the ripped file and not when playing the original disc. This glitch also causes all subsequent dialogue to be out of sync by about 2 seconds for the rest of the movie.
To work around the problem, I used DVDFab to cut the first 2 seconds that seem to be causing the issue.
My problem is that, after ripping the movie with this cut applied, the audio tracks are no longer in the same order as on Disc 1. They are also no longer in the same order as on Disc 2 when it is ripped without cutting those first few seconds.
This becomes a problem when I try to join both discs into a single movie file. Since the audio tracks are no longer in the same order between Disc 1 and Disc 2, the files cannot be concatenated properly in MKVToolNix. The track layout needs to be identical on both parts, but trimming the beginning of Disc 2 changes the audio track order and makes the two files incompatible for seamless joining.
