I ran into a new problem… Got me stumped….I have a video that DVDFAB Ripper copies perfectly, except it has the director’s narration overwriting the audio. I can watch the movie on my DVD player and turn commentary off…. But is there a way to tell DVDFAB Ripper to turn it off before ripping it to my hard drive?

If not, I guess I’ll have to go back to the old-fashioned screen capture method….

Regarding your concern about the director’s commentary audio overriding the main track in DVDFab Ripper — please rest assured that there is no need to resort to screen recording. This is simply a matter of selecting the correct audio track, as DVDs typically contain multiple audio streams.

To resolve this, please follow these steps:

After loading the DVD, locate the “Audio” dropdown menu on the right side of the main interface.
Select an audio track other than the commentary option. The main movie audio is usually labeled as 5.1-channel (AC-3 / 5.1 or DTS), while the director’s commentary is often in 2.0-channel stereo (AC-3/2.0).

You can view the DVD in a player to confirm which audio track meets your needs, or use the preview function in DVDFab to listen and confirm that you hear the normal movie dialogue and sound effects before starting the conversion.

Once you’ve selected the correct audio track, DVDFab Ripper will output your video with the standard movie audio.
