I just purchased DVD-FAB to be able to rip my new Bluray discs. I bought 10 new discs, where as one of them would not succeed (the other 9 did succeed).
What I do is simple: Copy the entire bluray as an ISO file (BD50), and save to a fileserver, so I can view it using Kodi anywhere in the house. With the problem disc, it appears to read the entire disk, then for a very brief moment after it has reached the end of the disc reading, I can see the text “failed” in red letters for less than a second, a “fail” sound is heard, then the disc is ejected.
This disc and 7 others is in a series of Norwegian classical old movies, so all released by the same company, and
share the same layout on the covers, but the 7 others in this series succeeded.
The only thing I can see that stands out on this disc, is that the volume name contains the Norwegian characters “ø”,
which is not one of the standard 7-bit ASCII letters. Do not know if it matters, but there it is anyway.
I have tried to rip this disc several times, and the same happens every time.
I can provide log files if needed. Program version is 13.0.6.2. Reading device is a Verbatim BIAA external USB-C slimline BD writer.
Thanks in advance for any help in this matter.
