Issue with downloading videos from GagaOOLala

After StreamFab finishes analyzing the video and brings me to the download page, the download won’t start and the speed stays at 0. Has anyone run into this issue? Any idea how to fix it?

Germania Likely a VPN issue, as my region requires a VPN to download from this site, causing connection failures. Older versions (pre-November) worked fine, but the November update broke it. Now, old versions can’t bypass the site’s new security, making downloads impossible. The official team doesn’t seem motivated to fix it

Presumably - it works with my VPN (NordVPN/SurfShark) ..
.. my connection from Europe is routed through Taiwan.
And since it works with my VPN .. it’s not an SF issue.

Germania I also thought it might be an issue with my VPN, but as I mentioned above, the versions prior to last November were downloading just fine. My VPN hasn’t been updated, so I believe the SF team should be able to fix this issue. Unfortunately, the support team hasn’t replied to the issue I submitted—they probably think it’s just an isolated case and don’t really want to bother fixing it. Sigh.
Anyway, thank you so much for your answer. If you don’t mind me asking, what VPN are you using? I’d like to give it a try. Thanks again!

NordVPN have more servers and is mostly faster ..

Germania Right now I’m using a paid VPN/proxy service, and it’s too expensive, but I don’t really have a choice. Also, I have a favor to ask—could you test something for me? When you download a video from GagaOOLala, does it reach 99% and then finish quickly, or does it get stuck there for a long time? For me, it used to hit 99% and finish right away, but now it gets stuck at 99% for ages before hitting 100%. Another thing—can you download another video immediately after finishing one? Every single time, I have to close and restart StreamFab, otherwise it won’t let me download again. It’s so annoying having to restart SF after every single video just to download the next one. I don’t know why this website has to make things so incredibly frustrating.

Yep, no restart of SF required
Analysis + “Download Now” and Analysis + “Download Now” works fine ..
.. adding two videos to the queue before the download of both begins also works.

FYI: I tried 2 epis (40+45min) in 1080p using free account with SF 7038
