Please consider adding an option do download the original (VTT) subtitles as provided by the services + the SRT-converted subs together in one go and / or remux them with the downloaded video content straight away.
Also, an option for users to select which default subtitles they want and which of them should appear forced or not. Essentially a version of what MKVToolnix can do with its selection tool.
Example: If an English speaker downloads an English-language film and wants to include English subs but doesn’t necessarily need them except in rare cases, it would be excellent to get these subs set in the MKV metadata so that they’re disabled from automatically appearing when the content is played back.
Another case: If an English speaker downloads an English-language film and wants to include English subs + other languages, it would be great to be able to select exactly which subtitle file / language to use as default and again an option to disable all of them from appearing automatically.
I hope this isn’t too complicated, so please reach out if something isn’t clear but it would undoubtedly be a major timesaver.
