Germania if no other provider offers ass.
Yes, that’s why I asked for individual settings for every provider
I first thought about combining ASS with the option for external SRT and then just using ASS for Crunchy, but Crunchy also has SRT, so it has to be a new option.
Germania And Hardsubs cannot be dl separately (part of the video),
nor can they be generated without fully editing the video.
I know 🤷I never said anything opposing this
Oh, I see. There is indeed the option to download Hardsubs, but if you don’t have Crunchy, you never saw this
Germania There is nothing “suddenly” - in the Amazon Selection
When I always have external SRT for the entire time using SF, making a change on another provider that has nothing to do with Amazon, and then being greeted by muxed SRTs, it is suddenly. Or at least very unexpected.
When I first encountered it, I only noticed it after already having several videos in my queue and then had to analyse them all over again. Sure, you see what SF has selected, but when my default never changed before, I don’t look there anymore and don’t expect something I do on another provider to change this.
Germania Opinions may certainly differ as to whether a change made in the
selection dialog should result in a change to the global settings ..
Of course, some might actually want it. It can be useful if someone needs to download several videos with different settings, but it should not override the setting of another provider or persist until the next session. Because then, having the default setting is pointless.
Either way, for me, it is a simple fix by making the default actually the default and allowing every provider to have it’s own settings. That way, what I do on Crunchy will at least not affect other sites anymore.
But yeah, once you know it, you can avoid it, so not everyone might see this as an issue. It just confused me very hard to see it suddenly downoads muxed SRT and took a second to figure out why it happens.
