Ich kann jetzt wieder online updaten. Das ist gut, aber beim Offline Installer sagt mein PC immer, der Computer wurde durch Windows geschützt. Von Microsoft Defender SmartScreen wurde der Start einer unbekannten App verhindert. Die Ausführung dieser App stellt u. U. ein Risiko für den PC dar.

Das ist völlig normal bei einer neu veröffentlichten Datei ..
.. da SmartScreen diese noch nicht bekannt sein kann

.. since SmartScreen wouldn’t be familiar with it yet.

Is anyone having issues with downloading the new update? I am tech savvy, to a point, but can’t figure this out.

Every time I click on keep file, it won’t download. When I click on Report App Safe, it still won’t download.

I have windows 11, 64 bit. In the US.

Last week, no issue with update. Today…issues.

If anyone can walk me through how to fix this, I welcome all your advice.

Click the arrow next to Delete, then select Keep anyway

Thank you. Yesterday, it wouldn’t give me the option to keep the file, where the delete button/arrow was. Today, it changed and gave me that option.

Keep Anyway was how I did it yesterday, also.
We run into this issue with some niche music apps for controlling MIDI gear too.

This is the very first out of the last 100+ downloads that this has happened to me for. For it to just start happening makes a person nervous - though I did verify MD5 and SHA1.

In my case I can download the file, but have to “Unblock” it before it will install. Only reason I know about the Unblock button is that I have to do that on my work computer as by default downloads are not trusted.

I created a new post about this issue and then immediately found this one, so I deleted the other.
I’d searched on “Unblock”, not SmartScreen.

I believe that I figured this out. They have a new certificate attached to 7040 that SmartScreen was not familiar with so it doesn’t have a ‘reputation’ yet.
