When I started downloading “The Simpsons,” I didn’t have any problems at first, but now that I’ve downloaded about 300 episodes, Disney+ seems to kick me out (the account gets logged out) and I can’t continue downloading unless I log back in, and if for some reason I’m not paying attention and cancel the download, Disney+ blocks your IP address because you’re trying to access hidden services without being logged in, which is a major problem and carries a risk like the one described here: https://forum.dvdfab.cn/d/413044-disney-abnormally-high-number-of-requests-warning/2

Can anyone test this by downloading the entire “The Simpsons” series? Since I imagine this is something that’s hard to detect it might not happen if you’re just downloading one or two episodes, but maybe it has to do with downloading a really big series in a short amount of time? I don’t know…

Correct, that matters is not how much, but in what period of time ..
.. so you can cross “maybe” off the list.

@KidJoe Did you try to find a solution? Like avoiding downloading very long series in such a short time? But if you download several short series every day, this shouldn’t happen, right?

x265 the solution was in the original thread, basically: don’t hammer their services-

0xFeedBeef There’s no need for such extreme measures- I drain the 100 tokens every day without being locked out, just don’t drain them in one go- 20 per hour with a bit of a break should work just fine; and my downloads from D+ come at between 70 and >200MBps (depending on HD/4K)…

My Disney days were quite a while ago. Back then I also got logged out sometimes, but I didn’t care — I just logged back in and kept going. I loaded 100 every day, for four weeks straight. I analyzed each episode individually so it would play in the regular browser. Maybe that prevented the lockout.

Sebastian001 they’ve changed that recently and revered back to what it used to be- the naughty corner for 24 hours or so

Yeah I had noticed that Disney lock out last week. When doing Disney, I highly recommend using a VPN just so you don’t have your home IP address locked out for the full 24 hours, the wife was not happy when none of our devices were able to login.
Once you start getting the “Please try again later” errors, just disconnect, and have your VPN switch to another IP,
Disney doesn’t seem to do full account lockouts (at the moment), but definitely temporary IP bans
