HBO MAX analysis failed

Hi,
Regardless of the StreamFab version used and across multiple computers, I can stream HBO Max videos via a web browser, but with StreamFab the analysis fails, so I cannot download anything.

I am not using a proxy or a VPN.

Do you have a solution?

try doing a clean install of streamfab and retry HBO MAX again.

I don’t have access to HBO, so I can’t say.
I currently see no other posts either.

Maybe while waiting, add the streamfab.log to your post

I have a shared account and am currently in France; are there any country-based access restrictions?

On second thought, I’m talking nonsense; if there were restrictions, I wouldn’t be able to watch the stream via a web browser.

HBO Max fails for me as well (EU). When locating content on HBO Max it’s not recognized, and analysis never starts

Did you try logging out of HBO in SF, then logging back in?
This sometimes resets things for me.

For me it works in the EU, analysing is taking a lot longer bit it does it after 1 or 2 minutes.

I don’t know what that means:

I’ve now tried six VPN servers and all of them
(NordVPN + WindScribe) were detected and blocked.

Only SurfShark works for me in AU with first attempt and series analysis fails
2nd try: Analysis ok - but without resolution + languages
So I tried “Movie Mode” - start s03e05 without auto analysis enabled,
skipped intro and click the orange button - that’s okay

tested in AU, New South Wales

I was having this problem and had to “reauthenticate” through my provider. I logged into my Cable Co ISP, went to streaming TV and selected HBO Max which took me to the HBO Max site to log in.

Even though I was logging in just fine prior to doing this and could watch anything, SF would not work until I performed this step.

Not using a VPN & I don’t have HBO through a ISP etc, so no option to log out & in there.
Tried movie mode and whilst I can play videos in Streamfab, analysing still failed.
Tried again, this time scrolling way down the HBO homepage and finding another link and also waiting until the recap had finished playing and it then successfully analysed and downloaded. A quick check shows the video is playable. I’ve found in the past that sometimes links near the top of the HBO home page fail to analyse (top 10, recommended etc), but if I scroll way down, in this case Discover our collections > westeros > etc, then SF will analyse. Even that trick now fails with auto analysis enabled.
I did try a few other random shows with the same result.
Still, the fact that auto analysis is failing for me and some others suggests there is a change at HBO that is slowly propagating, affecting some but so far not everyone.

Movie mode with a single episode. I’m not a big downloader. 🙂 Just one show on HBO at the moment.
